your family pictures tell one story...
There are many stories about you. These stories can be strong and uplifting, but there are also the stories that keep you small and full of doubt about your worth and where you belong.
other stories are keeping you stuck...
You created these stories about yourself early in life. Even with good enough parents, our early relationships shaped how we give love and receive love. The stories you tell about yourself change how you see your children and your loved ones and can trap you. We forget these stories were created by us as a child and we can replace them as adults.
you can change your story.
You may be feeling overwhelmed and exhausted from meeting the needs of others in your life, especially your children. We can be surrounded by friends and have a full schedule with work, our children's activities and other social events yet still feel alone and disconnected. You have the ability to transform who you are in relationship with yourself. You can create compassion for the ways you find yourself struggling and this compassion can strengthen your ability to connect with others including your children and partner.
infant mental health
An infant develops their understanding of the world in the arms of their parents. Some infants and parents easily connect in this space yet for others it can be more difficult. Infant mental health practice helps strengthen the relationship between a parent and very young child.
Our past and worries about the future keep can keep us out of the present moment. This impacts our ability to be with others in life. Mindfulness brings our attention to the present without judgement and helps us see more clearly the ways we might be stuck in unhelpful patterns.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an integrative psychotherapy that is highly effective in reducing the impact of past distressing events. Trauma from our past can alter the way we interact in the present and can have a profound impact on how we view the world.
